ABOUT Christie
I’m the person who walks into any space—an office, a store, a lobby, or a home—and immediately envisions how to make it better. Functionality and aesthetics go hand in hand, and how people feel in a space is everything. A well-designed environment should reduce friction, improve flow, reinforce branding, and elevate the overall experience. I love showing my clients how small (or big!) changes can transform their credit union spaces into something both beautiful and functional—without breaking the bank (or, well… the credit union).
Before launching REfresh in April 2019, I spent four years as Manager of Membership and Credit Union Solutions for CCUL (California and Nevada Credit Union League). During that time, I saw firsthand how many credit unions were investing in digital upgrades—new websites, fresh logos, and rebrands—while their physical spaces remained stuck in the past. Outdated interiors with 40-year-old finishes didn’t align with modern branding, and I knew there was a gap to fill. That’s when REfresh was born—a service dedicated to revitalizing credit union spaces to match their evolving identity.
Beyond design, I’m a mom of two, business owner, red wine enthusiast, sunshine seeker, water lover, and dog person. Though I’m a Northern California native, I spent years in Alaska and the Pacific Northwest before returning to Nor Cal in 2007 (because enough with the cold and rain already!). My motto? Have fun in all you do. My favorite thing? Laughing. My passion? Creating spaces that inspire and function beautifully.
